ISS extended through 2024 and Cygnus flies!

The President has just signed an order authorizing ISS funding through 2024, presuming the international partners remain on board with their commitments to the station.  Currently, they do all appear committed, but you never know what politics will do. This is a very encouraging step, though.  Here’s to the next decade of station operations!

 

SPACE.com: International Space Station Gets Life Extension Through 2024

In a rather timely counterpoint to that, the first operational Cygnus mission lifted off today after repeated weather delays!  Cygnus will arrive at these station this weekend.
