I’m just gonna post these without much comment for now. They’re all quite adorable on their own. 😉 But because there are lots, I’m going to put them below the fold; that should keep this from getting too long for the main page. The “contest” was for kids 10 and under, and everybody got a prize in the end. It was judged by Batman and Superman, which went over very well with all the kids.
This kid is Union Pacific; his wizarding mom is just the propulsion unit for his costume. 😉
Just as the convention itself was full of fezzes, there was a high proportion of Eleventh Doctors in the kiddie contest.
Samwise Gamgee (who likely came to see Sean Astin) even brought some lembas for the MC.
Another Eleventh, this one with a lovely jacket.
A rather suave Riddler.
Ash Ketchum, with, I believe, a Squirtle.
This one was precious: Princess Jedi.
I don’t remember this one’s name, but she’s a cat-themed superhero/villain of some sort. She sure had charisma, though!
Dora the Explorer, with Backpack!
I did not catch this one’s name either, but she sure looked like she meant business.
Hermione Granger was another popular costume.
My own Alakazam!
And my own Amy Pond!
Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can….
Hermione Granger, once again.
The parade of Elevenths continues. 😉
A brief break from all the Eleventh Doctors; here’s a Tenth.
Legolas, prince of Mirkwood.
I think she was called the Wasp, but I am not completely sure; it was a beautiful costume, but I’m not familiar with the property.
The cutest gosh-darned Heath Ledger Joker you ever saw. This tiny little girl even said “Why so serious?” for the audience.
A Jedi warrior, ready to light her saber and do battle.
The Green Arrow
An adorable little Robin, who was quite stunned by the crowd.
A precious little Batgirl
The gal worked with her dad to produce this duct-tape Captain America costume
Little Harley Quinn, who needed a bit of encouragement from her mom. Crowds are weird!
Sailor Moon! To my surprise, this was the only Sailor Scout costume I saw all day. She did it quite well.
The best Disney Princess of all — Princess Leia!
This Dalek was clearly a labor of love, even if the stairs were a bit challenging, and it got a lot of cheers.
The mighty warrior Link! It’s dangerous to go alone….
Goodness, the Doctors just keep getting younger! 😉 Appropriately, his mom was dressed as the TARDIS. And he tried to eat the sonic screwdriver.
Rose Tyler; can’t forget the companion who helped bring the series back.
All the kids gather to pick out prizes. I had more pictures, but I only posted the ones that were in focus. I hope you all enjoyed them!
