Ariane V launch of Eutelsat 8WB & Intelsat 34

Ariane V has completed its 81st launch, the 77th to be fully successful.  (The vehicle has a remarkably clean record, with no faults since the fourteenth launch, back in 2002.)  This placed two commsats onto geosynchronous transfer orbit.

And if you want to know a bit more about the mission and how it works, check out this episode of KNews — where “K” stands for “Kerbal”.  It includes a Kerbal Space Program simulation of an Ariane V flight profile.  😉
