Yesterday, NASA scientists confirmed the presence of running liquid water on the planet Mars. It had long been suspected (Mars has tons of frozen water at the poles, and radar data from Mars Express was highly suggestive of subsurface water), but now it is confirmed. The strange seasonal streaks in large Martian craters are indeed due to flows of briny subsurface water.
Now . . . we just have to make sure nobody tries to drink it. 😉
